- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 5 Tbsp. water
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 6 large marshmallows, cut in small pieces
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Put all ingredients, except vanilla, in top of boiler.

2Stir until well mixed.

3Place over simmering, but not boiling, water. Cook, beating constantly with electric mixer at high speed, for about 7 minutes, or until icing becomes stiff and glossy.

4Remove from heat and add vanilla.

5Stir until blended.
