  • 2 sticks butter or oleo
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 7 oz. 7-Up
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. lemon extract

Directions

    Cream together the oleo, shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

    Beat for about 20 minutes total.

    Add sifted flour and lemon extract.

    Fold in 7-Up.

    Bake in greased and floured deep tube or Bundt pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
