Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • gravy mix (McCormick) or small can beef gravy
  • 1 (16 oz.) can baked beans
  • approximately 3 lb. potatoes (use plenty)
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • approximately 2 oz. milk
  • paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Boil potatoes, then drain them.

    Mash them with butter and milk.

    Brown the ground chuck and drain off the fat.
  4. 4
    Add the chopped onion to the meat and continue to cook the meat until no pink is seen.

    Add gravy mix and 1 cup of water or add the can of beef gravy.

    To this mixture, add the baked beans and cook for one or two minutes further.

    Mix well.
