- 12 dove breasts
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 clove garlic, sliced
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. sherry
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. hot water
- hot cooked rice
Directions

1Sprinkle doves with salt and pepper.

2Melt butter in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or heavy saucepan.

3Place dove breasts in skillet; add sherry and garlic.

4Cover and bake at 400° for 35 to 40 minutes.

5Remove breasts and keep warm; reserve 2 cups pan drippings (add water, if necessary).
