Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 medium carrots, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 c. cubed peeled potatoes
  • 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen green beans, thawed
  • 1/4 c. uncooked long grain rice
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 c. minced fresh parsley
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained

Directions

    In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion over medium heat. Drain fat.

    In a 3-quart casserole, combine beef mixture with all remaining ingredients.

    Cover and bake at 350° for about 2 hours or until rice and potatoes are tender.
