- 1 c. or 8 oz. softened butter
- 1 c. confectioners sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Heat oven to 325°.

2Beat butter with confectioners sugar until light and creamy.

3Add vanilla.

4Beat well.

5Sift together salt and flour and fold into butter mixture.

6Put dough on unbuttered baking sheet.

7Pat into circle 3/8-inch thick.

8Score into 8 or 10 wedges with sharp knife.

9Mark edges decoratively with fork.

10Bake 25 minutes until pale brown at edges.

11Remove from oven.

12Let cool. Sprinkle with sugar on top.

13Break into wedges.
