- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg, separated
- 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
- 1 stick butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 stick margarine
- cinnamon
Directions

1Cream butter and margarine.

2Add sugar, egg yolk, vanilla and flour and cream until smooth.

3Use wrapper from butter to spread dough in cookie sheet.

4Lay a piece of wax paper over top to help smooth batter evenly.

5Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

6Beat egg white until stiff, along with 1 teaspoon sugar.

7Spread over dough.

8Sprinkle with fine nuts.

9Bake at 275° for 45 to 60 minutes.

10Remove from oven at once.

11Cut into squares.
