  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 egg plus lowfat milk to make 2/3 c.

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Cut in shortening with pastry blender.

    Beat egg and add in lowfat milk to 2/3 c.. Stir lightly into flour mix.

    Drop by Tbsp.

    onto 8 x 8 inch pan, making 9 biscuits.

    Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 min.

    Cut apart and remove from pan.

    Cold on rack.

    Split and serve with sliced strawberries or possibly peaches.

    Top with whipped cream.
