- 1/2 c. chopped onion, celery and green pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 Tbsp. shortening or oil
- 1 lb. can chopped tomatoes
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- dash of hot sauce
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 12 oz. shrimp
Directions

1Saute vegetables in oil.

2Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and next 5 things. Simmer, uncovered, 45 minutes.

3Mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water. Stir in.

4Mixture should thicken. Stir in shrimp and heat through.

5Serve over rice.
