Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c chopped onion
- 1 c chopped celery
- 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 c butter
- 1 c water
- 2 t parsley
- 1 t salt
- 1/8 t red pepper
- 1 lb fresh shrimp
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 3 c hot cooked rice
Directions

1In heavy, deep skillet, saute onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic until onion is tender.

2Remove from heat.

3Stir in tomato sauce, water and all seasonings.

4Return to heat and simmer, uncovered for 10 minutes (add more water if needed).

5Add clean, raw shrimp, bring to boil, reduce to medium and simmer 10-15 minutes, covered until shrimp are pink and tender.

6Do not overcook.

7Serve immediately over hot cooked rice.
