- 4 to 5 strips bacon, broken into tiny pieces
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 onions, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 c. raw rice
- 2 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. shrimp
Directions

1Fry bacon and break into tiny pieces.

2In same pan saute the bell pepper, celery, onions and salt and pepper until it becomes clear.

3Add raw rice, hot water and the shrimp.

4Simmer slowly, covered, about 30 minutes.
