Ingredients

  • shrimp (large, 31 to 35 count size or 36 to 40 count size) minimum of 1/2 lb. medium to large shrimp per person
  • sausage (approximately 2 pieces or 1/4 lb. per person) cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
  • 2 ears corn per person
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • seafood seasoning
  • melted butter
  • cocktail sauce of your choice

Directions

    Use twice the volume of water to the volume of ingredients. Season with a generous amount of salt and an abundance of seafood seasoning.

    Bring water to a boil and add first the sausage, boil 7 to 8 minutes; then put the corn in and boil 8 to 10 minutes.

    Add shrimp and cook between 3 1/2 to 4 minutes.

    Drain all out, preferably in a colander.

    Use the melted butter for the corn and cocktail sauce for the shrimp.
