Simple Stuffed Mushrooms

- 12 to 16 medium mushrooms
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
Directions

1Remove stems from mushrooms.

2Arrange caps on baking tray. Chop stems.

3Put butter, stems, onion, salt and pepper in frying pan.

4Fry slowly until onions are clear and soft.

5Stir in bread crumbs.

6Stuff caps.

7Bake at 350° for about 10 to 15 minutes or broil for about 5 minutes.

8Serve hot.
