  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
  • 1 c. buttermilk (you may substitute 1 Tbsp. vinegar to 1 c. sweet milk)
  • 2 Tbsp. corn oil

    Spread iron skillet evenly and on sides with Crisco.

    Mix ingredients well and pour into skillet.
