Slippery Beef Pot Pie

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. beef roast
  • 2 qt. beef broth from roast
  • 6 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. Crisco
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 c. water

    Boil roast in large pot with 2 quarts water.

    Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste.

    Cook 2 to 3 hours, until tender. Remove meat; shred it and place back into pot.

    Add potatoes.

    Mix flour and Crisco in bowl.

    In another bowl, blend eggs and water. Stir half the egg mixture into the flour mixture, then add rest of egg mixture, a little at a time.
