Ingredients

  • extra-virgin olive oil enough to cover the bottom of a 6 qt crock pot
  • 4 bangers or your favorite fresh made sausage
  • 1 sweet potato Diced
  • 1 russet potatoes Diced
  • 1/2 onion Diced
  • 1 stalk celery Diced
  • 6 mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon spice Chipotle
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
  • 6 garlic closes of, mashed and diced
  • 1 teaspoon oregano spicy
  • 1 teaspoon honey I used Mikes Spicy honey

    Drizzle a little oil on the bottom of your crockpot/slow cooker. If you're using uncooked sausage, put that on the bottom of the pot before adding your veggies. If using pre-cooked sausage (I used Aidell's chicken and apple) slice and mix in with the vegetables.

    Chop/dice a large serving per person of onions, potatoes, carrots, and any other root vegetables you like and add to the pot. Add 3/4 of your beer- (the cook gets to enjoy a few sips of the remaining beer

    Season crock pot with kosher salt, minced garlic . Red pepper, chipotle powder for heat, or dijon mustard and a touch of honey for a tangy bite. Consider the meat composition of the sausage you're using as a guide for flavoring the vegetables.

    Allow to cook for 4-6 hours

    Toss together a big salad - Like Mixed greens with a few handfuls of seasonal berries, tangerine, tomatoes, and avocado- dress w/ 1 tbsp EVOO / 1/2 tsp balsamic or maple syrup- and season lightly with salt and pepper
