  • 10 plum tomatoes cored
  • 2 small garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small white onion cut into wedges
  • 2 jalapeno peppers with stems cut off seeded if desired
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 3 tbsp minced fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 lime juiced
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sugar

Directions

    cut a small slit in two tomatoes and insert a garlic clove into each slit

    place tomatoes, onion, olive oil, and jalapenos in slow cooker

    cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours

    let cool and place in a blender or food processor and add rest of ingredients and process until smooth
