  • 4 to 6 thick (3/4- to 1-inch), boneless pork chops
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 large baking potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper
