Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

  • 1 whole Large Yellow Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • 7 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 5 pounds Bone-in Pork Butt
  • 1 cup Beer
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 2- 1/2 cups Barbecue Sauce

Directions

    Place onion and garlic in slow cooker.

    Pat pork dry and place on top.

    Add beer, sugar, chili powder, salt, cumin, cayenne pepper and cinnamon.

    Stir around.

    Cook in slow cooker for 8 hours on low.

    Remove pork from slow cooker and place on a plate and shred with two forks.

    Strain liquid mixture, reserving onions.

    Discard liquid.

    Place pork and onions back in slow cooker, add barbecue sauce and cook on low for 2 more hours.
