Smothered Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean hamburger
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 pkg. soft taco shells
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. chopped green onions
  • 1 c. chopped black olives
  • 1 c. chopped jalapeno peppers (optional)

Directions

    Cook hamburger; drain well.

    Add taco seasoning; let simmer approximately 5 minutes.

    Use 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Fill taco shells with meat, fold edges of shell and hold with toothpicks. Pour both cans tomato sauce over tacos.

    Top with cheeses, green onions, black olives and jalapeno peppers (optional).

    Bake at 350° until cheese is melted.
