  • 3 1/2 c. oatmeal
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2/3 c. melted margarine
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 c. honey or molasses
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Toast oats in a 9 x 13-inch pan in a 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Place toasted oats in a large bowl and add remaining ingredients.

    Mix well.

    Press firmly into a well-greased 11 x 16-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

    Cool and cut into squares.
