- 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Sift together the first 4 ingredients.

2In mixing bowl, cream together shortening, sugar and eggs at medium speed until fluffy. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix at medium speed until combined.

3Chill dough.

4Roll dough into 1-inch balls and then roll in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.

5Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

6Bake 8 to 10 minutes in a 400° oven.
