- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 c. flour*
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Heat oven to 400°.

2Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, butter, shortening and eggs together.

3Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.

4Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon.

5Roll balls in mixture to coat.

6Place 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

7Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

8Remove immediately from cookie sheet.

9Yields 4 dozen.
