Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening (1/2 butter)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • cinnamon-sugar

Directions

    Blend shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs, beat well after each. Sift dry ingredients together.

    Add and mix well.

    Shape in 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon-sugar (2 tablespoons sugar mixed with 2 tablespoons cinnamon).

    Bake 8 to 10 minutes 2 inches apart at 400° on ungreased cookie sheet.
