Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Beat the first 3 ingredients until frothy. Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredient mixture to wet mixture in parts. Refrigerate overnight.

    Roll dough into small balls. Roll balls into a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.

    Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
