- 1 pkg. caramels
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/3 c. milk
- 3/4 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Prepare cake; pour 1/2 batter in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

2Melt caramels with margarine and milk in saucepan over low heat.

3Pour over baked cake.

4Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.

5Spoon remaining batter over caramel layer.

6Bake at 250° for 20 minutes, then at 350° for 10 minutes.
