- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. softened margarine
- 1 egg
- 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 c. unsifted flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tbsp. water
- coarse salt
Directions

1Measure warm water into a large warm bowl.

2Sprinkle in yeast; stir until dissolved.

3Add sugar, 2 teaspoons salt, margarine, egg and 3 cups flour.

4Beat until smooth.

5Add enough additional flour to make a stiff dough.

6Cover bowl tightly with aluminum foil. Refrigerate 2 to 24 hours.
