- 3 c. water
- 3 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 5 c. flour
- salt
Directions

1Boil 3 cups water and baking soda.

2Mix the warm water, brown sugar and yeast.

3Set aside for 5 minutes.

4Add the flour.

5Stir until dough is not sticky.

6Flatten onto floured surface; knead until elastic.

7Form into pretzel shape.

8Drop into boiling water for about 5 seconds.

9Put on greased pan; sprinkle with salt. Bake at 475° for 8 minutes.
