- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- egg yolk, beaten
Directions

1Mix water, yeast and sugar until well blended.

2Add salt.

3Add 1 cup flour, beating well after each addition.

4Knead 5 minutes with dough hook, or if you don't have a dough hook, lightly flour surface and knead 5 minutes.

5Divide into 15 to 18 pieces.

6Roll into balls, then make 14-inch rope.

7Twist into pretzel shape. Brush with egg yolk.

8Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
