Sour Cream Cherry Cake

- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 lb. margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 pt. sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 2 c. flour
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Cream margarine, sugar and beat in eggs, one at a time.

3Beat in sour cream and vanilla until smooth.

4Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda and beat into creamed mixture, alternately with the milk until well mixed.

5Pour 1/2 the batter into lightly greased tube pan with a removable bottom.

6Spread the cherry pie filling over the batter in the pan and then pour remaining batter over the pie filling.

7Add topping to cake before baking.

8Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.

9Let cake cool before removing sides of pan.

10DO NOT INVERT CAKE.
