- 3/4 c. cornmeal
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 c. thick sour cream
- 4 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Sift flour and cornmeal.

2Add soda, cream of tartar, salt and sugar; sift again.

3Add beaten egg, milk, cream and melted butter. Beat thoroughly.

4Pour into a greased pan (9-inch square) and bake for 20 minutes in 425° oven.
