Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast (1/4 oz.)
- 1/2 c. warm water (110~)
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl.

2Stir in the lukewarm water, flour, salt and sugar.

3Beat until smooth.

4Let stand, uncovered, at room temperature 3 to 4

5days.

6Stir 3 times daily. Cover at night.

7Using starter is simple, but always remember to keep back at least 1 cup of starter for the pot.

8This you feed with 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup flour and 1 teaspoon sugar. Let stand until bubbly and well fermented for at least a day before using.

9Store in refrigerator.

10If the starter is not used within 10 days, add another teaspoon of sugar.
