- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Directions

1In a large pitcher, dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup of water.

2Stir in remaining water, sugar and flour.

3Beat until smooth.

4Cover; let stand for 5 to 10 days, stirring 2 to 3 times a day and carefully recovering each time.
