Southern Cornbread Dressing (Stuffing)

  • 1 lb turkey sausage, cooked
  • 1 cup golden bell pepper, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 (8 ounce) packageready made cornbread mix
  • 1 12 cups oyster crackers
  • 1 (14 ounce) can cream of celery soup
  • 3 tablespoons fresh sage
  • 2 tablespoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon nu salt substitute
  • pepper
  • 1 small carrot, shredded
  • 1 cup chicken or 1 cup turkey stock
  • 14 cup butter

Directions

    Make cornbread according to ackage directions and Crumble.

    preheat oven to 400 degrees.

    Mix ingriedients in a large bowl.

    Pour into an 8x10 baking dish and bake about 40 minutes.

    Pour a little more stock over stuffing just before serving and garnish with more fresh sage leaves.
