- 6 ears corn
- 1/4 c. bacon drippings or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Shuck corn; wash.

2Cut the kernels off the cob with a sharp knife.

3Scrape the juice out of the corn cob into the corn.

4Heat the drippings or margarine in a large skillet.

5Add the corn, flour, sugar, water, milk and seasonings.

6Stir together, bringing mixture to a boil.

7Stir the corn constantly until it starts to boil.

8Cover, reduce heat and simmer until corn is tender, about 25 to 30 minutes.

9If necessary, add more water and more sugar (1/4 cup).
