- 1 lb. light brown sugar
- 3/4 c. water
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 c. butter or oleo
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 1 c. pecan halves
Directions

1Combine sugar and water in saucepan.

2Cook and stir until sugar dissolves.

3Bring to boil and cook 3 minutes (gradually). Add hot syrup to eggs, stirring constantly.

4Add butter and vanilla.

5Pour into pie shell.

6Arrange pecans on filling.

7Bake at 350° about 1 hour or until set.

8Cool.
