- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. dark Karo syrup (lite will do)
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.

2Add next 4 ingredients.

3Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie shell; pour the filling over pecans.

4Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

5Reduce temperature to 350° and bake 35 minutes longer.

6Outer edge of filling should be set, center slightly soft or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
