  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. milk

Directions

    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.

    Cream butter, sugar and eggs.

    Add vanilla, milk and dry ingredients.

    Blend well.

    Place dough on lightly floured surface.

    Sprinkle a little flour over dough and roll to about 1/2-inch thick.

    Cut with cookie cutter and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.

    Prick tops with fork and bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350° or until lightly browned on top.
