- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, pressed, or 3 shakes of garlic powder
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 (1 lb.) cans red kidney beans (undrained)
- 2 cans whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (12 oz.) can kernel corn
Directions

1Brown ground beef and pour off fat.

2Add onion, green pepper, garlic, red pepper, chili powder, cumin, oregano and salt.

3Mix well.

4Cook until onion and green pepper become tender.

5Add beans, tomatoes, corn and tomato sauce.

6Stir to mix well, breaking up tomatoes with a fork.

7Simmer slowly, stirring occasionally, until thickened and blended (about 45 minutes).
