Soy-Ginger Steaming Liquid

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sherry
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh ginger (unpeeled)
  • 4 large cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups water

Directions

    Combine the soy sauce, sherry, ginger, garlic and water in the bottom of the steaming equipment.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.

    Begin steaming.

    Add boiling water if too much of the liquid evaporates before cooking is complete.
