- 4 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 can tomato paste (2/3 c.)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/8 tsp. oregano
- 2 1/4 c. tomato juice
- 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 or 3 bay leaves
Directions

1Saute onion, garlic and parsley in olive oil until soft.

2Add meat and brown.

3Blend in juices and spices.

4Cook slowly for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

5Stir occasionally.

6Spoon off excess oil. If sauce becomes too thick, add small amounts of water.
