Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/2 c. diced bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 1 Tbsp. ground oregano
  • 1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1/2 to 1 c. Holland House red cooking wine
  • 1 pkg. spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • salt to taste

Directions

    Brown onion and pepper until onion is transparent.

    Add ground chuck, garlic and oregano; brown.

    Stir in tomatoes, sauce and paste, then add salt.

    Cook over low heat, 2 1/2 to 3 hours, add the wine and cook 15 more minutes.

    Serve over hot cooked spaghetti and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.
