- 3 lb. lean hamburger
- 1 large onion, chopped
- fresh mushrooms (8 to 10)
- 12 oz. can tomato paste
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 28 oz. can whole tomatoes
- 14 oz. jar Ragu or any good spaghetti sauce
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 4 to 5 whole bay leaves
Directions

1Saute hamburger and onion in olive oil until brown, then transfer to large size crock-pot or any large cooking pot with lid.

2Add all other ingredients (clean and slice mushrooms); cover and cook slowly 12 to 24 hours.

3The longer it cooks, the better the flavor.

4This quantity yields 14 to 16 portions served over cooked noodles.

5Freeze leftover sauce.
