- 2 medium onions
- 1 large green pepper
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 pt. oil
- 1/2 lb. ground pork and beef
- basil leaf
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp. pepper (red)
- 1/2 tsp. pepper (black)
- 1 tsp. salt or more
- 1 can tomato puree
- 1 can water
- 6 cans tomato paste
- 8 cans water
Directions

1Grind or chop the first 4 ingredients.

2Simmer ground pork and beef in oil.

3Add the basil, oregano, parsley flakes, peppers and salt and cook 1 hour, then add remaining ingredients.

4Cook on simmer for 2 to 3 hours.

5Add meat balls if you wish.
