  • 1/2 bushel tomatoes, juiced
  • 3 lb. onions
  • 2 garlic bulbs
  • 1 pt. cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. basil
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1/2 handful parsley
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 8 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste or more

Directions

    Cook juice, onions and garlic about 20 minutes until soft. Add everything else except tomato paste.

    Cook 1/2 hour.

    Add paste; cook 10 to 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

    Cold pack 10 minutes.

    Heat canning lids before use.
