Ingredients

  • 1 (30 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 medium (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 lb. browned hamburg
  • 6 sweet hot cooked sausages
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped
  • 1 bunch celery, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 c. red wine
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
  • dash of red pepper
  • pepper to taste

    Cook hamburg until brown.

    Drain fat.

    In a large kettle add hamburg, tomatoes, tomato paste, scallions, celery, bay leaf, wine and seasonings.
