  • 2 pounds ground beef chuck
  • 2 pounds mild Italian sausage
  • 96 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 24 ounces tomato sauce with tomato bits
  • 24 ounces tomato sauce
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons italian seasonings
  • 3 pounds spaghetti

Directions

    Cook ground beef in a large saucepan with salt, pepper and garlic salt.

    Add spaghetti sauce, tomato bits and tomato sauce, sugar and Italian seasoning.

    Cut sausage into 2 inch pieces and add to sauce.

    Simmer about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

    Skim fat as it accumulates.

    Cook spaghetti according to package directions.

    Remove sausage from sauce.

    Ladle sauce on individual servings of cooked spaghetti and add portions of sausage.
