  • 2 lb. pinto or red beans
  • 1 large onion
  • 16 oz. sausage or hamburger
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • salt to suit your taste

Directions

    Cook beans until they are done and a small amount of water is left in them; set this aside.

    Cut up a large onion and add the meat; cook until brown.

    Add tomato sauce.

    Add chili powder and enough salt to satisfy your taste.

    Simmer for 1 hour.

    Serve with crackers.
