Spanish Pinto Beans

- 1 pkg. (1 lb. or more) pinto beans
- 1 medium size onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 4 or 5 sprigs cilantro (coriander), chopped
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- salt to taste
Directions

1Boil beans until tender. In a large skillet put olive oil and heat for 3 to 4 minutes.

2Add the other ingredients and saute for 5 minutes.

3Pour this sauce over the beans and cook for 10 minutes.

4For better flavor, add cut up lean ham to the sauce.
