Ingredients
- 1 lb. beef, cut into cubes
- 2 Tbsp. or less shortening
- 1 c. water
- dash of pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. sliced onion
- 1 (6 oz.) can undrained mushrooms
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 lb. can drained bean sprouts
- 4 + c. hot cooked rice
Directions

1Brown meat slowly in hot shortening in pressure cooker.

2Add water, salt and pepper.

3Cook at 10 pounds pressure for 10 minutes.

4Release pressure under cold running water.

5Add onion and celery.

6Cook for 2 more minutes at 10 pounds pressure. Again, release pressure.

7Add undrained mushrooms to mixture.

8Mix soy sauce and cornstarch and slowly stir into mixture.

9Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.

10Add drained bean sprouts. Serve over hot rice.
